Fleeing Walford after learning of Julie’s affair (which, in her defence, they’d already dealt with five years ago), Nigel enlisted Phil in search of buried treasure. Said treasure was a time capsule he’d buried with Grant when they were children. And, as he told Julie and Phil, he hoped that its contents would be enough to pay for his care once his dementia symptoms worsened. Arriving in the country, Nigel led Phil onto a gated country estate, where they began digging for the loot. After retrieving the box, they discovered it to be full of antique football cards – although they’d been destroyed after years underground. After being chased from the property by its resident owner or groundskeeper, Phil and Nigel reflected on their findings.
