EastEnders fans point out gigantic 'plot hole' in Sharon's search for Zoe's son

Sharon's had a wasted journey

EastEnders fans have pointed out what seems to be an enormous ‘plot hole’ in the search for Zoe’s son. In last night’s episode (Monday, October 27), Sharon travelled to Birmingham to see Jada Lennox, scoring some DNA that might help her track down Zoe’s missing twin son.

Jada, for the forgetful or the uninitiated, is the mother of her granddaughter, Alyssa. Born of a union between Jada and Sharon’s late son, Denny, Alyssa serves as a DNA link between Dennis and Zoe’s son.

Or she would, if Zoe hadn’t been lying about the whole Dennis thing.

Some fans, however, spotted a pretty big flaw in Sharon’s plan. Namely, Dennis already has a relative on Albert Square – his half-sister, Vicki.

“Vicki is Dennis’ half sister. Surely her DNA would be a closer match than his grandchild,” pointed out one fan on X.

“Why doesn’t Sharon just get DNA from Vicki as she is Dennis’ half sister?” asked another.

A third agreed: “Sharon should’ve got a DNA test off Vicki the moment Zoe dropped the bombshell about Dennis. That would’ve then proved a lot earlier that Dennis isn’t the father of Zoe’s son and confirms that Zoe lied to her.”

“Why is [sic] Sharon gone and got DNA from her granddaughter who I no [sic] is Denny Junior’s daughter and him being Dennis’s son wouldn’t it have been easier to get DNA from Vicky [sic] seen [sic] as she is Dennis sister?” asked a fourth.

Truly a wasted journey – in more ways than one.

Kat sets Zoe an ultimatum in EastEnders tonight

As the fallout settles on Kat’s bombshell tonight, she reflects on how Zoe’s presence is affecting her business and family. Upstairs, she sets Zoe an ultimatum.

Later, as a furious Zoe packs her bags, she’s shocked to discover that someone has smashed up a picture of her and Kat. She confronts her mother, who denies being responsible.

Is somebody out to get Zoe? And, if so, who?
