Last week, Chantelle was killed by her husband Gray in tragic scenes. After attempting to leave her abusive husband, Gray pushed Chantelle and she fell onto an upwards facing knife in the dishwasher Instead of calling for help, Gray went around the Square, giving himself an alibi, before returning home and making Chantelle’s murder look like an accident. But this week, Karen and Mitch returned from their holiday to find out their daughter had died. Chantelle was killed by Gray in EastEnders (Credit: BBC) In last night’s episode (Thursday, September 24), Chantelle’s friend Kheerat explained to Mitch that Chantelle planned to leave Gray and that’s why he had the box full of Mia and Mack’s baby things. A drunk Mitch later relayed the information to Karen, but Karen didn’t believe Gray would hurt Chantelle. Furious, she yelled at Mitch: “She loved Gray, she loved them kids. She wouldn’t… He wouldn’t. Maybe Kheerat’s the one who’s got something to hide eh? However, fans were furious with Karen for not seeing Gray was abusing Chantelle.
