EastEnders follow-up: Stacey reports Joel to the police as her SecretCam pics are leaked

Creepy teenager Joel Marshall discovered Stacey Slater’s SecretCam account in EastEnders tonight (Thursday, August 7), after pal Tommy filled him in on his cousin’s past. Joel didn’t exactly take the information as intended though, rushing back downstairs where he shared some choice words with Stacey.

Joel was already skating on thin ice after insulting Stacey and Zoe the night before, having described Kat as a ‘slag’ in a hateful rant. He apologised to Kat and made things up with Tommy tonight, but his repentant behaviour didn’t last.

And, as Vicki and Stacey set him off on another misogynistic rant, he targeted Stacey over her OnlyFans – sorry, SecretCam – past.

Ross sent out mixed messages as Joel targeted Stacey

Returning home after getting a slap around the smart mouth from Stacey, Joel got into another debate with his dad. However, Ross had been given food for thought from a conversation with Harvey, who suggested a more tactful approach to parenting a radicalised son.

Mistaking empathy for enabling, Ross gifted his son a new computer to replace the one he’d trashed last night (the jury’s out on whether that’s better or worse than another beer). After asking Joel to be more open and honest with him going forward, Ross left Joel to it.

Stacey reports Joel to the police in EastEnders next week

As a new dawn breaks over Albert Square next week, Stacey is overjoyed to learn that Lily is coming home. Her good mood is soon curtailed by the news that someone has leaked her SecretCam photos and videos online.

She immediately assumes that Joel was responsible, and rushes over to confront him and Ross. Back home, Joel manages to convince his dad that he’s innocence, while Stacey call the police.

Joel remains confident in the face of police investigation. And, as the officers conclude looking into the case, Stacey gets some news as to the result.

Will Joel finally be held accountable for his actions?
