Summer sports have been playing havoc with the TV schedules, between this week’s football matches and last week’s Wimbledon coverage. This meant that EastEnders largely aired outside of its normal time slots this week. While it was on as usual on Monday and Wednesday, a double bill on Tuesday meant that all four episodes had already aired by the midweek point. That means that there’s no EastEnders left for this week, and no episode airing in the usual Thursday slot at 7.30pm. But is the soap back to normal next week? Phil feels lost without Nigel… as do we without our Thursday EastEnders fix (Credit: BBC) EastEnders isn’t on tonight – here’s what next week’s schedule looks like Coverage of the Women’s Euros continues next week, so EastEnders will face more disruption as these matches air. According to next week’s TV schedules, the week will kick off (geddit) with a double bill on Monday, airing at 7.30pm and 8pm. It will then air as normal on Tuesday, with no episode on Wednesday. It is currently scheduled to return on Thursday, for the final episode of the week. The BBC have not yet confirmed next week’s iPlayer schedules, so we don’t know whether Thursday’s episode will be available earlier in the week for streaming. As next week’s EastEnders gets underway, preparation for the sale of The Vic is in full swing. But, as Kat prepares to take ownership of the pub again, Stacey blindsides her by withdrawing her offer of the loan. After talking to Jean, Stacey reconsiders – but is it too late for Kat? Elsewhere, with her parents distracted, Avani enlists Barney’s help with a personal problem. Over at Harry’s Barn, she takes a pregnancy test and confirms that she’s with child. But how will Suki react when she stumbles across the news? It’s a busy week for Panesar family drama – as Suki also clashes with Vinny over Ash’s engagement party, and is then thrown into shock as Nicola has Ravi arrested. And, with Phil at loggerheads with Jay and Callum, he’s distracted by news of Nigel. He’s thrown into a panic when Julie returns to Walford and informs him that Nigel has gone missing.
