With a Black Sabbath tune playing in the background, the pair discussed the results of Tuesday’s semi-finals, and shared their excitement for Sunday. “It’ll be weird watching the final without you behind the bar,” Callum remarked as they shared their plans for the grand final, referencing Kat’s recent purchase of the iconic boozer. Don’t recall this scene? That’s because EastEnders might have slipped it in after you’d already watched the episode. But what exactly happened? However, it did so without the extra scene, which has subsequently been added, and also aired on BBC One last night. It occurs at the 08:13 minute mark on BBC iPlayer. The soap has also made the scene available on its official Instagram account, if you missed it the first time around. As they shot the breeze, Elaine spoke of how happy she was feeling about the Lionesses’ 2-1 win on Monday. “There is going to be a lot of children named Michelle and Chloe in nine months’ time,” she predicted, in reference to goal-scoring heroes Michelle Agyemang and Chloe Kelly. Talk then turned to Sunday’s match as Elaine teased Callum over the fact that Johnny wouldn’t be around to watch it with him. Ouch. In the background, a song by Black Sabbath played in the Minute Mart. This referenced the death of frontman Ozzy Osbourne, which occurred on the same night as the Lionesses scored their win. In addition to referencing Tuesday’s historic events, the scene also referenced two of this month’s biggest events in Walford – Kat buying The Vic, and Callum’s affair with Johnny. Having swapped houses with the Slaters, Elaine had just moved into their home. Hence the need for two litres of bleach. And, as Elaine set about deep-cleaning her new home, Kat made herself at home behind the bar. In an eventful first day, it wasn’t long before the police turned up. After riling the punters up with free drinks, Mo had relieved herself on The Square – getting herself arrested by the police. This came only moments after Jean dropped Alfie and Stacey in it over their lies. Can Kat reign her family in to make a solid go of The Vic?
