EastEnders review: Vicki and Zack kissed, Zoe was frightened, and Jasmine's up to no good

We're desperate to know what Jasmine's up to!
Kerry Barrett

Our EastEnders review this week has got us puzzling over quite a few things like all the bad stuff Zoe’s done in the past, and why she thinks someone wants her to pay for it. Who Jasmine is and what she’s up to. And how Cindy fits in to all of this?

And why on earth we have started to think Alfie Moon could be talking sense.

Here’s what we thought of all the confusion in this week’s EastEnders review.

Zoe has got us very confused

There was a big moment for us this week when we actually agreed with Alfie Moon. This does not happen very often. It’s possible it has never happened. But when it comes to Zoe and her weird stalker thing, we’re totally Team Alfie.

Though we’re actually a little confused about what she’s making up now and what’s real.

Also, what exactly has she done wrong? The graffiti on the barrel store door saying ‘you will pay’ could have been meant for anyone.

Maybe it was Hayley Slater looking for some child support from her baby daddy Alfie!

Maybe it’s something to do with Jasmine – after all, when Nigel ran her over she said “she needs to pay for what she did”. Which is kind of similar.

Zoe immediately assumed it was aimed at her, and that Vicki – who frankly has got more than enough going on right now – was the phantom graffiti dauber.

But Zoe seems to have forgotten that she didn’t actually kill Vicki’s dad Den Watts. Chrissie Watts did. And Chrissie has, in fact, paid for her crime.

One thing we’re convinced of, though, is that Jean isn’t the culprit, despite her earring being found near the scene of the crime.

Anyway, we’ve lost interest in this whole Zoe thing now. Her return was so eagerly awaited but it’s turned out to be a bit of an anticlimax.

And most importantly, where is Max? Surely he’s coming back to Walford soon?

EastEnders review: Ravi was tortured

We really love Ravi, and we love Priya even more. And we loved Nugget and Avani teaming up to have a go at their drug-dealing dad this week.

But we’re not sure where this is going to go, or how it will end.

One thing we are sure of, is that no adoption agency in the world would give Suki and Eve a child, even with Ravi having moved out.

Zack and Vicki

Much to our surprise, we do not hate Zack and Vicki as a couple.

We really feel for Vicki and her continued troubles after the vicious attack by Joel.

It’s a clever way to approach her story, we think. Joel has gone – though we did see him briefly this week – but the consequences of his actions are still rippling through the Square, and affecting Vicki especially.

She is really struggling with what’s happened and trying so hard to move forward. And we like that her torment hasn’t just been brushed under the carpet. It feels very real.

So we reckon she deserves a bit of fun with Zack!

EastEnders review: Who is Jasmine?

The mystery around who Jasmine is, and what she wants is still intriguing us. And this week things got more interesting when she stole Dr Trueman’s keys so she could look something up in the medical records.

What was she after? Was she looking up something about Cindy? And if so, what was she searching for?
