BBC Share By Kerry Barrett Nov 8 2025 By Kerry Barrett Nov 8 2025 Zoe was really weird about her cat, Harry's free, and Nicola's got some news. It's been a baffling week in EastEnders! We really don't care about that cat Features Harry Mitchell Kojo Asare Zoe Slater Share By Kerry Barrett Nov 8 2025 By Kerry Barrett Nov 8 2025 This week’s EastEnders review comes with a slightly bemused expression and a whole load of questions, because everything’s just a bit confusing. From Zoe’s weird obsession with her cat, to Gina’s mysterious injury, and Eve’s odd mother, there were a lot of things that made us scratch our heads this week. And that’s before we get to Nicola’s – ahem – happy news. Anyway, here’s what we thought of all the action in our EastEnders review. Kojo saved Harry! (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) EastEnders review: Harry and Kojo were freed! We’re trying so hard to stay interested in this drug dealing storyline but we just can’t. But we do have to say is that Okie is a nasty, nasty man and we were thrilled when Kojo basically saved Harry’s bacon. Kojo and Harry’s friendship is still one of our favourite things in EastEnders at the moment, despite all the other nasty stuff surrounding it. It looks like he’s faced with a tough choice – either he goes to jail for a really long time or he becomes a police informer. We don’t want Ravi to go to prison, but we do want this storyline to be over please. Somehow we can’t imagine Nicola with a baby (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) Nicola got some news Meanwhile, Nicola was back, and blaming Kojo for Harry’s mishaps because he’d flushed the drugs away. Erm, Nicola, we love you, but Kojo really isn’t the one to blame here! Anyway, Nicola soon had something else to worry about because she is only bloody well pregnant. With, we assume, George’s baby. Looks like Ravi’s not the only one with a decision to make. Phil’s back to help his mate (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) Phil’s back Yay! Frankly his return was the best thing about this week. Even though he was only in about two scenes. But he took charge of the whole Nigel sitch, which was a relief. We love Julie, but she was panicking a bit about Nigel going to prison and it was making us panic, and really we’re just glad there’s a grown-up in charge now. Zoe’s acting very strangely (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) Zoe and her cat and the PI The Zoe saga continued this week, when the cat went missing again. Is it just us, or is Zoe being a bit weird about that cat? It’s a lovely moggy, there’s no denying that, but cats are notorious for going wherever they fancy – why would she think Mini Mo (is this the worst name for a cat in history?) is hers now? Is there a little girl on the outskirts of Walford missing her kitty? Anyway, Zoe’s weird cat obsession is only matched by her weird lack of interest in finding her son whenever the opportunity arise. Her sucker of a mother, Kat, sold Harvey her half of the limo business this week, so Zoe could pay the PI who’s tracking down her boy. Except when they came face-to-face, the PI had basically no news, and Zoe – £3000 poorer – asked her no questions. In fact, she didn’t even ask her what her son’s name is. This is very odd, right? And that’s before we get to her scratching her own face out of family pics and generally playing the victim. We’re starting to think that Dr Anthony is right, and Zoe is ill. In fact, the only thing that could convince us this is an exciting story now would be if the fans are right and Sam Mitchell is the one tormenting Zoe! Oh Dr Trueman, what are you up to, eh? (Credit: BBC) EastEnders review: What’s Anthony hiding? Speaking of Anthony, he had a mysterious secret phone call with – we assume – his wife this week. He’s a bit dull, is poor old Dr Trueman, but we must admit his argumentative phone call did make us slightly more interested in what he’s up to. Norma arrived from the North in the 1980s (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) Suki and Eve and Norma Elsewhere, Suki and Eve welcomed Eve’s evil mother Norma to Walford in the hope that she’d write them a glowing reference for their adoption endeavour. We’re still a little baffled by this whole thing. A couple of weeks ago, Eve did not want kids. And she may have been to prison but Suki is one we’re really concerned about because she is the worst mother in all of Walford. The fact that they’ve been approved by the adoption agency makes us wince. Anyway, Norma arrived from Up North and, apparently, from the 1980s, where Madame Tussauds counts as an exciting day out and everyone’s surprised that Tom Cruise is quite short. Not to mention the whole homophobia thing. And she proved herself to be a nasty piece of work. So we were really very pleased when she went away again. Gina’s on crutches Remember when Nigel drove into Gina and Jasmine, and Jasmine shoved Gina out of the way, and Gina whacked her head on the kerb? Remember that? How come she’s on crutches now then?
