Ross is on a mission to turn his life around in EastEnders tonight and decides to propose to Vicki. But instead of getting a straightforward yes, Ross is stunned when Vicki makes a shocking confession. With Joel’s trial now behind them, Ross wants to move forward, and that means setting up his own handyman business. Not only does he want to pay Sharon back for the loan, but he also dreams of him and Vicki getting their own place. She’s still feeling guilty after her night of passion with Zack, so when he asks her to help her with some bookkeeping at the gym, she’s not sure it’s a good idea. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Zack won’t take no for an answer, though, and soon the pair of them are going through paperwork. However, there is clearly still a spark, and they share a charged moment. As they almost kiss, Vicki tells Zack that she is with Ross and that this can’t keep happening… but what she doesn’t realise is that Mark is in the doorway and has heard everything. Zack and Vicki have a moment in the gym as Mark watches on (Credit: BBC) EastEnders: Ross proposes Later, Mark sees Ross leaving a jeweller’s and works out straight away that he is planning to pop the question. With their truce long forgotten, Mark goads Ross over asking Vicki to marry him so soon after Joel’s trial. Ross is adamant he’s doing the right thing, and Zack has to split the pair up before they fight. But as Zack is pulling the men apart, he is heartbroken to hear that Ross is planning to propose and tries to hide his upset. But before she can get annoyed that he has ruined the surprise for her, he also admits he knows about her and Zack. Vicki doesn’t even deny it, but says there is nothing between them and she loves Ross. After the siblings have a heart-to-heart about Vicki’s messy love life, they head for a drink. However, Vicki is upset to see Zack fall out of the Vic with another woman on his arm. Trying to forget his feelings for Vicki, Zack decides life is too short not to move on. But is his heart really in it? Vicki knows she has to be honest as Ross proposes (Credit: BBC) Heartache for Ross as he proposes Knowing Ross is going to be down on one knee, Vicki heads home. She is overwhelmed by how much thought he has put into the romantic gesture. As he asks her to marry him, Vicki tells Ross that she has to be honest with him. As Mark appears behind her in the doorway, Vicki breaks down in tears and tells Ross that she slept with someone else.
