Kat’s new move into old territory came earlier this week, as she made a deal with Linda Carter to take over the reigns of the beloved Walford boozer. In a stunningly quick transfer of power, Linda was out and Kat in by the very next day. With Linda having packed 11 years of her life into a few boxes, she bid the pub farewell as she climbed into a taxi with Johnny and the kids, heading off on a well-deserved holiday. This left Kat fully in charge of her brand new pub, ready to begin the next chapter of the Slaters’ lives. Kat’s back where she belongs (Credit: BBC) First look as Kat Moon takes over The Queen Vic in EastEnders Ahead of Kat’s first week in charge, the BBC have shared two brand new images of Kat back where she belongs, propping up both sides of the bar. In the background, mementos of The Vic’s long and storied history remind us of days gone by. A picture of Peggy; Martin’s tankard; Mick Carter’s scarf; all serve as mementos of The Vic’s history. This follows Tuesday’s scenes, in which Kat agreed to keep Mick’s scarf behind the bar, as tribute to Linda’s late (?) husband. When he returns, he faces the cold shoulder from Kat, who makes it obvious that she knows he’s been lying to her.
