The future of menacing drug dealer Okie has been confirmed, with star Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu hinting that he may be sticking around in EastEnders for a while. Okie first appeared in Albert Square last week, as Ravi enlisted his help to solve a Bernie-shaped cash flow problem.

His drug plan hit a snag when their stash was discovered by Kojo, who promptly flushed the lot down his toilet. Harry tried to cover for what his pal had done, but Ravi was having none of his insistence that there’d been a break-in at The Arches.

And, after lulling Harry into a false sense of security at Avani’s birthday party, Ravi revealed what he had in store – bringing Harry on as his unwilling new dealer. And where did this leave Okie?

Well, after mouthing off to Ravi, Okie found himself on the receiving end of a brutal beating, only driving home Ravi’s message to Harry that he wasn’t a man to be messed with.

But what’s next for Okie?

Okie to ’cause chaos’ as EastEnders future revealed

According to The Sun, Okie – full name Tobias Okyere – will be sticking around to ’cause chaos’ for some time. A source promised: “He’ll really set the cat amongst the pigeons and become quite the thorn in the side for Harry and the other Mitchells.

“He’s going to become a familiar face over the next few months so he’s definitely one to watch out for.”

The soap has also released a series of promotional shots of the character, suggesting that his character does indeed have a future on Albert Square. Will he seek revenge against Ravi for his humiliating beating? Or go after Harry for the ‘stolen’ drugs?
