Kojo’s been at the heart of one of the soap’s biggest storylines this year, as the victim of a cruel cuckooing operation in his flat. The situation came to a head last night as Kojo managed to escape, raising the alarm with brother George and Harry’s dad, Teddy. Appalled to learn what had been going on at Kojo’s apartment, Teddy and George dashed across the street, where they found the place in disarray. As George called the police, Teddy ran to save his son – narrowly getting him back as Okie and his fellow drug dealers attempted to bundle him into the back of a van. The end is in sight for Kojo and Harry after last night’s eventful episode… although some were more distracted to learn of Kojo’s age. This came as something of a shock to some viewers, who had assumed that he was far younger. “Kojo is 46 ?!?! I thought he was in his 30s,” wrote one fan on X. A third exclaimed: “Kojo is how old???? 46????” “I was a bit surprised as I thought he was mid 30s but I guess if they have adults playing teenagers then the actor can play someone 5 years older than him,” said another, over on Reddit. This makes him 15 years older than Elijah Holloway, who plays best pal Harry on the show. Dayo made his screen debut in 2010, in one episode of Holby City. He followed this up with another medical drama in 2011, appearing in an episode of Doctors as a character named Michael Dunham. Completing the set, he also featured in one episode of Casualty in 2023. He made his debut as Kojo in EastEnders in 2024, describing the role as a “dream become reality.” “It’s been absolutely amazing – I’m loving every minute of working with the cast and crew.
