Breaking in to steal Patrick’s gambling winnings, Oscar panicked and attacked the old man, knocking him unconscious. Patrick made a full (physical) recovery, although he was left profoundly shaken by his experience. Feeling guilty about what he’d done, Oscar confessed, facing the wrath of Patrick and his family. This included Howie, who was hiding a secret of his own. Having worked out that Oscar had been behind the attack, Howie blackmailed the youth, taking Patrick’s winnings for himself. Oscar’s keen to make it up to Patrick (Credit: BBC) Oscar made amends in EastEnders this week Oscar made amends for his attack on Patrick in EastEnders last night (Monday, September 1), helping to put together their wedding ceremony at the last minute. After being convinced by Yolande to face his fears and walk down the aisle, Patrick finally married his wife in a beautiful ceremony. And, afterwards, in The Vic, Patrick was keen to show Oscar that it was all water under the bridge. And, while it was heartwarming to see Oscar so keen to make amends with Patrick, many were unable to move past the whole money theft thing. Namely… why was nobody asking what happened to the money? “Why has nobody asked Oscar what he’s done with Patrick’s money that he stole or demand that he gives it back?” asked one fan. Another agreed: “Why isn’t anyone asking Oscar where the money is???? All now, no one has asked.” “Why has Patrick or anyone not asked Oscar about the money yet,” said a third. “A massive plot hole? Why are none of the Truman’s asking Oscar where the money is?” a fourth queried. For all they know, Oscar did use that money to pay off Fat Mike and his pals. But it’s strange, regardless, that these conversations have all taken place off-screen, and that no-one has asked him to pay the Truemans back yet.
