Cindy Beale became subject to another attack in EastEnders this week – when mysterious Jasmine Fisher struck, pushing her down a flight of stairs. Thankfully, Cindy survived her brush with death, recovering in hospital as last night’s episode ended.

Cindy’s going to make a full recovery, then – but we’re still none the wiser as to Jasmine’s true motives. Is she really out to get Cindy? And if so, why?

Jasmine broke into the surgery in search of dirt last week, so she’s definitely looking for someone. And, given her constant snooping around, it’s most likely Cindy.

But what if it’s not that Cindy?

Jasmine is targeting Cindy Jr, EastEnders fans predict

Fans shared their thoughts on Jasmine’s revenge mission in the wake of last night’s episode, as speculation grew as to what she’s up to. And some wondered whether she might have targeted the wrong Cindy. Could she be after Cindy’s daughter, Cindy Jr. instead?

“It’s not Cindy she wants revenge on its Cindy JR. She asked about Cindy kids. She looked at Cindy medical files to see any relation. She told Cindy she was older then she expected when they first saw each other,” theorised one fan on Reddit.

“Wait this is actually a decent theory,” said another.

“Yes very good theory,” agreed a third.

A fourth echoed: “Nice theory! Like it.”

Is Jasmine actually out to get Cindy’s daughter? And, if so, to what purpose?

What happened to Cindy Jr?

EastEnders’ other Cindy was the daughter of Cindy and her ex-fiancé, Nick Holland. With her dad out of the picture (having left when he learned she’d tried to kill Ian), Cindy Jr. was raised by Ian after her mum supposedly died during childbirth (later revealed to be a cover for her entering witness protection).

Cindy Jr. hasn’t been seen on EastEnders since 2015, leaving Walford for a new life in Germany with boyfriend Liam Butcher.

She did reach out to her mum in a text message in 2023, though, sparking speculation that she might one day return.
