Is Jean stalking Zoe? What happens as iPlayer release airs fiery confrontation

Will Jean admit that she was responsible?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders, which is already streaming on BBC iPlayer, but hasn’t yet played on BBC One – in which Jean Slater is accused of being Zoe’s stalker.

Jean Slater emerged as prime suspect in the hunt for Zoe’s stalker last week, after an incriminating earring was found at the scene of the barrel store vandalisation. Zoe had been convinced that Vicki was responsible, but it soon became clear that this wasn’t the case.

But if not Vicki, then who? A surprising (although not really that surprising) name entered the fray when Jean claimed the earring as her own.

Kat and Alfie were shocked to realise that they may have suddenly uncovered the identity of Zoe’s stalker.

But was it really Jean? And how will she react when she’s confronted over the crime?

Jean confronted as Zoe’s stalker in EastEnders today

As the soap continues today (Monday, November 24), Kat and Alfie try to decide how to tackle the situation. With Zoe unaware of their suspicions, they decide to confront Jean privately.

Summoned to The Vic by Kat, things get off to a shaky start when Jean – completely unprompted – reiterates how much she dislikes Zoe. As she rattles on, she reveals that the earring was Stacey’s, but she wears it so as to feel close to her daughter.

When Kat reveals that they found the earring at the scene of the barrel store graffiti, Jean grows even angrier. Launching into another furious rant about Zoe, she storms off, making herself look even more guilty than before.

Not exactly a denial, then. Was Jean behind all of Zoe’s recent torment?

Zoe’s tormentor returns in spoilers for this week

As the story continues this week, the Slaters are disturbed when they get a series of menacing calls to their mobiles and The Vic landline. Zoe is convinced she knows who’s responsible, but Kat and Alfie aren’t so sure.

Later, after Anthony provides Zoe a shoulder to cry on, she returns home to find a Christmas card left at The Vic. Inside, a sinister message awaits.

Has ‘Jean’ struck again?
