But his family is in for a shock as no one knows he’s alive. The last time we saw Jake in Albert Square was in 2024 when he made a brief return with girlfriend Chrissie Watts. But while we know he is alive and well, his cousin Alfie has no idea. It has been revealed that Jake’s return is connected to what happened in The Vic at Christmas. Not only was it revealed that Chrissie had been secretly working with Jasmine, but Anthony also ended up dead. The official line from EastEnders says: “Jake returns in search of answers about what really happened at Christmas, but he gets more than he had bargained for when he learns a different version of events that leads him to question the woman he loves… “With his conscience weighing heavily, and with multiple versions of events to contend with, only time will tell if Jake will do the right thing for not only himself, but for the sake of his family.” Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Jake Moon last made a return in EastEnders in 2024 (Credit: BBC) EastEnders reveals the return of Jake Moon Speaking of his return, Joel Beckett said: “It was lovely to step back onto the Square after all this time. “Being back working alongside familiar faces, as well as some brilliant new ones, was a real joy. It was good to know that Jake had been out there, alive and well. “He returns carrying plenty of unanswered questions. The storyline takes him in some unexpected directions with real twists and turns. I’m excited for people to see what he’s been up to.” Ben Wadey, Executive Producer, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Joel Beckett back for this storyline. “Jake’s return will be a shock for many, but the biggest shocks of all will surround Jake and what he discovers about Christmas…” Last time Jake returned, he was with Chrissie (Credit: BBC) Who is Jake Moon? Jake Moon was first seen in Walford back in 2004 when he arrived with his brother, Danny. He is the cousin of Alfie and Spencer Moon and worked for notorious Albert Square gangster Johnny Allen. He was thought to be dead after Johnny drove him and Danny into the woods to kill them. However, it was revealed months later that he let them go. That’s far from the end of the drama, though. Not only did Jake kill his own brother while he was in the show, but he was also presumed dead himself. Johnny ordered Jake to kill Sean Slater from prison, but he had a heart attack while making the phone call. He said, ‘Jake, kill him for me’. But his cellmate mistook the order and believed he wanted Jake dead, not Sean. After years of everyone assuming he was dead, Jake returned to our screens in 2024 when he reprised his role for a short stint. He arrived back in Albert Square with Chrissie after she had been released from prison, but none of his family saw him. They still believe he is dead.
