Jasmine Fisher Max Branning Oscar Branning Share By Claire Crick Jan 20 2026 By Claire Crick Jan 20 2026 WARNING: This article is full of spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders, which is streaming on BBC iPlayer now, but has not yet aired on BBC One – in which Jasmine accuses Max of the unthinkable. Jasmine has been causing carnage left, right and centre ever since she arrived in Walford, and today’s episode (Tuesday, January 20) sees her set out to ruin yet another life. It’s no secret that Jasmine has had a troubled start in life after being abandoned by Zoe. But since she tracked down her birth mum, she has set fire to a house (almost killing her boyfriend in the process) and joined forces with Chrissie Watts to destroy Zoe’s life. Most recently, Jamsine killed her own dad as he attacked Zoe, and she has been keeping it secret ever since. With Kat piling on the pressure to give a statement to the police, it’s all getting too much for Jasmine. Kat thinks that if Jasmie tells the police about Chrissie, they will pin Anthony’s murder on her and let Zoe go free. But Jasmine isn’t planning on going anywhere near the police. Especially because she is the one with Anthony’s blood on her hands. But she didn’t want to leave alone, and asked Oscar to go with her. Having only just got to know his dad and sister, Oscar is reluctant to abandon his family so soon. There’s also a niggling feeling that Jasmine isn’t being honest with him, especially because she wants to leave so quickly. However, a chat with Max rubs Oscar up the wrong way, and he decides his dad isn’t worth sticking around for after all. He tells Jasmine he is up for their trip to Thailand, even if it means sleeping on her friend’s sofa. But what Oscar doesn’t realise is that this is no holiday, and Jamsine’s only planning a one-way trip. Max is fuming when he overhears Jasmine on the phone in the Vic, arguing with her adoptive mum. Realising that Jasmine isn’t planning to come back from this trip, alarm bells start ringing for Max. Max works out that Jasmine is hiding something in EastEnders (Credit: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) Max unearths Jasmine’s lies Cindy warns Max about how dangerous Jasmine is, and he knows he has to stop his son from making a huge mistake. Finding Oscar at the fruit and veg stall, Max tells him that Jasmine is running away from something. Jasmine tries to defend herself, but the pair end up having a huge argument. Later, Max and Oscar have a heart-to-heart in the Square. Max tells his son that he is worried he is going to get his heart broken. But Oscar says he loves Jasmine and thinks she is worth the risk. Max is shocked when Jasmine frames him (Credit: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) EastEnders: Jasmine frames Max Not letting this one lie, Max confronts Jasmine at The Vic. He tells her he knows she put Cindy in hospital and asks what she is running from. Obviously, Jasmine is not about to confess her darkest secrets to Max and knows she has to act fast. She shoves him hard, making him stumble back against the wall. Max is surprised by the violence, and soon Oscar and Kat come rushing in and demand to know what is going on. But before Max can say what has happened, Jasmine comes up with another lie. She blurts out that Max tried to kiss her, leaving him shocked. With his track record, Max is going to have a lot of explaining to do if he wants to get out of this one any time soon. Read more: Who’s leaving, joining and returning to EastEnders?
