Joel Marshall faces police questioning in EastEnders today (Tuesday, October 14) after being arrested in last night’s episode of the soap. This came as Ross, having learned the truth about the attack, shopped his son to the police. The police promptly arrested Joel, dragging him away in handcuffs while Ross, Tommy (and the rest of the Square) looked on. But what’s next for Joel? The next day, as Ross visits Vicki in hospital, Julie tells him that the police have taken DNA swabs and samples of his hair and fingernail dirt. Vicki demands that Ross leave the police to deal with Joel, but he finds it difficult to forget about his son. And, as Vicki recovers in the hospital, he heads to the police station, where Joel is about to undergo questioning. A concerned Kat looks on as Tommy reveals that he helped to hide Joel – but turned on his friend when he saw the severity of Vicki’s injuries. However, there’s worse to come for Joel when he lets his true colours show at the police station… How will Joel react when he learns what his dad has done? (Credit: BBC) Joel learns of his dad’s betrayal As the police question Joel, Ross takes a seat in a nearby room. He watches via camera footage as Joel explains his version of events. Joel initially tries to blame Vicki, telling officers how she’d been aggressive with him. However, his claims that it had been an accident fall to pieces when officers reveal that they’ve seen the footage he recorded of the attack. Joel quickly realises that his dad must have turned him in. And, with Ross still watching from the other room, Joel launches into a vicious rant – telling detectives that Ross is ‘dead’ to him.
