Lacey and barber shop owner Matt said “I do” in front of 120 of their closest friends and family. Many of her EastEnders cast mates, past and present, also attended the ceremony including Laurie Brett (Jane Beale), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), James Bye (Martin Fowler), Jake Wood (Max Branning), Aaron Sidwell (Steven Beale), and Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell). Speaking about her big day Lacey revealed: “I didn’t go to sleep until 5am on our wedding night as I was still so excited about the day and then I woke up at 8am! “On the day I couldn’t wait to get down the aisle and marry Matt. “I was like: ‘hurry up, I want to get married’!” “I wasn’t nervous walking down the aisle, which was strange as I can’t walk down a red carpet without wanting the ground to swallow me up,” she added. Talking about her soap co-stars being there Lacey said: “It was so much fun. Scott and his wife Estelle are such fun people and they’re such lovers of the island anyway – they had a great time. “It was lovely to see Jake with his wife Alison and their kids, and James and his wife Victoria, and Aaron and his girlfriend Tricia, as well as Laurie, who came with her mum. “They’ve watched us grow together, so it was nice they couple all make it. I was so glad Barbara could make it too.” The soap actress went on to gush about how lucky she feels to have met her soul mate at such a young age. “I just feel really lucky. It’s really rare to spend this many years with someone and to still feel the same as it did in the beginning,” she said. “We don’t know any different, I guess, but I know we definitely feel lucky.” Read more: Caroline Flack reveals how she REALLY feels about her X Factor axe Lacey got engaged to Matt a year ago in Venice and she told OK! at the time how shocked she was by his proposal.
