Fans of the soap had been left confused by upcoming spoilers, which revealed that Ben would be returning to the UK for his late father-in-law’s funeral. With Ben currently serving time in a prison in the USA for credit card fraud, his return seems unlikely, at best. However, Ben will be back, albeit for a short stint. When Callum’s father, Jonno Highway, dies, Ben returns to England for the funeral. And many wondered how exactly he’d managed to swing such a thing. “A day release? From an American prison to the UK or anywhere for that matter? For someone’s funeral who isn’t even blood related? Yeah right. Wouldn’t happen in a month of Sundays,” pointed out one fan on Instagram. He continued: “He’s managed to get a transfer from the US and he comes back for a brief stint which was lovely to film and see everybody. “He’s been a naughty boy.
