But now former Enders star Sam Strike is building a career for himself in the US – playing all sorts of thugs, misfits and killers. And now he’s shown off his new haircut – a buzz cut that has left him almost unrecognisable from his former EastEnd self. Sam, who won praise for the scenes when Johnny came out to dad Mick (played by Danny Dyer), stars in Leatherface – the movie telling the story of the villain of the classic horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And he’s played a real-life serial killer in new Netflix drama Mindhunter. Sam’s character – Monte Rissel was a killer with the IQ of a genius who’d raped and killed five women before his 19th birthday.
