Oscar attacked Patrick last month, as a break-in went wrong and the old man got in his way. Panicking, Oscar pushed Patrick aside, knocking him unconscious. Oscar got away with the money and Patrick recovered (physically, at least), although scheming Howie did blackmail Oscar out of the cash, complicating matters. Since then, Oscar has struggled with his guilt, even striking up a friendship with Patrick as a way of making amends. Oscar’s keen to make it up to Patrick (Credit: BBC) Guilty Oscar befriended Patrick Oscar grew closer to Patrick after bringing Yolande a gift of some iced buns and helping her carry a heavy package indoors. She invited him into the house for a cup of tea, where he bonded with an initially alarmed Patrick. As he warmed to the youth, the pair shared a game of dominoes and Patrick reminisced about his friendship with Oscar’s grandfather, Jim. As their friendship progressed, Howie was taken aback to find Oscar in his house, playing dominoes. He was even more unnerved when Patrick invited Oscar to join his stag do – which Oscar accepted. However, Oscar wasn’t having any of it, and disregarded Howie’s concerns – both unaware that Jack was nearby, listening. A new EastEnders fan theory has emerged, suggesting that Patrick might actually know Oscar was responsible for the attack, and his biding his time, waiting to expose or report him. “I wonder if Patrick is playing Oscar and has worked out it’s him who broke into his house,” wondered one fan on Instagram. “Patrick knows Oscar attacked him,” said another. “I think Patrick knows it was Oscar, ” a third agreed.
