Sure, no-one’s actually asked Eve yet, but Suki seems set on this bizarre course of action. And, having been successful in convincing Avani to carry the child to full term, it seems as though Suki has gotten her way. But are things really going to be as simple as Suki imagines? With Eve yet to find out and Avani’s parents in the dark, there are a lot of moving parts at play. Sharing their thoughts on social media, the fans have been weighing in on how this might play out… and few are hopeful for a happy ending. Here are four theories on how Avani’s pregnancy will end. Suki managed to convince Avani to keep the baby (Credit: BBC) 1. Avani to die in childbirth One particularly grim fan theory has suggested that Avani could die during childbirth. As they spoke last night, Suki referred to the pregnancy as her last chance at being a good mother, which one fan took as a portent of something terrible to come. In this “last chance of being a good mother” nonsense, it could mean Suki indirectly kills her granddaughter by having her go through this pregnancy…” this viewer wrote on a Reddit thread. Avani will suffer a miscarriage Another prevalent theory is that Avani will have a miscarriage, taking the baby out of the equation. “I don’t think Avani will have the baby. I have a feeling she may have a miscarriage, and this will lead to Suki’s break (if the actress is actually going on Strictly in the autumn),” wrote one fan on Reddit. “I think avani will have a miscarriage and I’m getting a feeling that suki will blame avani for it,” another agreed. “Also as big as this already is for Avani – what if Avani sadly has a miscarriage or there are complications with the baby?” a third commented. Some have assumed that this will serve as the soap’s Christmas story, with the baby being born during the festive period. “Avani is 3 months pregnant. A pregnancy is normally 9 months. IF avani were to have the baby she would be due in December. This could possibly form into a Christmas storyline but I don’t know how ????” suggested one fan. “why do most girls/women get talked out of abortions on this show honestly Avani doesn’t want or need a baby.. Priya will intervene However, some have predicted that Avani may still have an abortion. With Priya yet to learn that her daughter is pregnant, one fan theory has suggested that her mum will intervene, supporting Avani in her decision to have an abortion. “I’m really hoping Priya finds out, steps in and really listens to what Avani wants and advocates for her – you just know Priya would be supportive but realistic about an abortion. War of the Panesars So far, Suki has gone behind the family’s back to get what she wants. This came after Avani swore her to secrecy first, but that still leaves Priya and Ravi in the dark. How will they react when they learn that Suki pressured their daughter into having a child? “As soon as Ravi finds out what Suki has pressured Avani into doing, he’s going into full psycho mode and will go to war with Suki over it,” wrote one fan. “Could this be the new producer coming in and deciding they want a bit of a Panesar war? How will Eve react when she finds out about Suki’s frankly insane plan? Some have wondered whether she might talk some sense into Suki and Avani. “I’m hoping Eve talks Suki out of this nonsense,” said one fan. “This could actually be quite good as a long-running thing. Eve talks Suki out of it, Suki ends up helping Avani get the abortion then, much later, Priya fnds out about the abortion, Avani reveals that Suki not only knew but tried to buy her baby,” another agreed.
