Danny Dyer was acting his little socks off opposite Kellie Bright in the mostly two-hander episode. We knew there was a big reveal coming – Mick confessing that he’d cheated with Whitney. But we did NOT expect that he would admit he’d fallen in love with her. Linda reacted exactly how we’d have expected – pinning Whit against the wall as she confronted her, then turfing her outta her pub. You’ll recall she headed back to her mum’s in Watford in the middle of the night in June – to reveal that her supposedly sick mother isn’t ill at all. So why has she been with her – and away from her beloved family – for eight months? Eager fans have a theory – that Woody and Linda are an item, and she has made him get engaged to Whitney as revenge, because she already knew about her and Mick. Elaborate, much? One viewer wrote on Twitter: “I reckon Linda set Woody up to pretend to wanna be with Whitney because she knows about Whitney and Mick #EastEnders.” Another agreed, adding: “#EastEnders Linda already knows about Mick & Whitney, Linda’s having an affair with Woody and she told him to marry Whitney to get revenge!” suggested one fan on Twitter.
