The hunt for Chrissie is on as Kat and Patrick demand answers in early iPlayer release

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders, which is streaming on BBC iPlayer now, but has not yet aired on BBC One – in which Kat and Patrick search for answers… and Chrissie.

The fallout from Christmas Day continues in EastEnders tonight (Monday, December 29), as Kat tries to clear Zoe’s name. With Zoe in the frame for Anthony’s murder, Kat faces a race against time to find Chrissie before Zoe’s left shouldering the blame.

But where has Chrissie gone? And did she really kill Anthony?

Kat searches for missing Chrissie in EastEnders tonight

As the soap continues tonight, the residents of Walford continue to reckon with everything that happened on Christmas Day. Desperate to clear her daughter’s name, Kat enlists the help of Phil’s laywer, Ritchie, who tells Zoe that Anthony suffered two blows from the head – meaning that Chrissie could have killed him.

Zoe calls Kat and tells her not to involve Jasmine. This means that it’s down to Kat to find Chrissie before it’s too late.

She goes to see Sam, who informs her that she has no idea where Chrissie could have gone. Meanwhile, Patrick is doing some digging of his own. Having gotten nothing from police officers outside The Vic, he storms down the station… where he gets nothing either.

Another bombshell drops

Back home, Kat tries to defend Jasmine as Jean, Tommy and the Slaters react to news of her stalking Zoe. Just then, Patrick arrives, and demands to know what happened between Zoe and Anthony, upstairs in The Vic.

As Kat tries to defuse the situation, an emotional Patrick breaks down in her arms.

Outside, Kat gets a phone call, and learns what’s to become of Zoe – the police will be charging her with murder.

Will Zoe go down for Anthony’s death? Can Kat track down Chrissie in time to save her daughter from going the way of Teddy Mitchell?
