Cindy Beale fears that the criminal family of Jackie Ford have come back to haunt her in EastEnders tonight (Monday, November 24), as concerns about Jasmine’s true motives continue to grow. Learning that Jasmine isn’t what she seems to be, Cindy assumes Jackie Ford’s family are involved somehow – leading to a violent confrontation between the pair.

But is Jasmine really in league with the Fords? And who was Jackie Ford and her clan anyway?

Here’s all you need to know about Cindy’s sinister enemies.

Who was Jackie Ford in EastEnders?

Cindy returned to the soap in 2023, after over 20 years of being thought dead. Cindy had apparently died in prison in 1998, during childbirth.

However, that wasn’t really the case, and Cindy had been placed in a witness protection scheme after sharing information about her criminal cellmate Jackie Ford, as part of a plea bargain.

No longer a prisoner, she took on the name Rose – which was who she was posing as when she met George Knight, during her wilderness years. In 2023, Cindy learned that Jackie had died, and that she had no family left.

This meant that Cindy could pick up where she left off, and return to Walford on a permanent basis.

But is the Ford crime family as dead as it seemed? Does Jackie’s legacy live on in mysterious Jasmine? And, if so, how is she connected to the Fords?

All the ‘clues’ so far that Jasmine is working for the Ford family

Since arriving in Walford, Jasmine’s demonstrated a worrying interest in Cindy. She quickly finagled herself a job under Cindy, lying about her past and where she’d come from to secure a position at The Albert.

Weeks later, Jasmine was injured by Nigel when she was caught in the path of his ill-advised joyride. As she drifted in and out of consciousness, Jasmine confirmed that she had it in for a certain Walford resident, revealing how they had to ‘pay’ for what they’d done.

As she recovered in hospital, Jasmine received a gift basket from an unknown party.

“Rest up and get well soon,” the card inside said. “We need you on top form.”

While Jasmine hasn’t yet confirmed whether it’s Cindy she’s after, all signs would point to this being the case. And, with both Jasmine and mum Anita sharing how she’s related to some ‘dangerous’ people, it would seem likely that she is indeed working for the Fords.

But is this really the case? Or is the soap throwing us a massive red herring?
