Joel has seriously injured Vicki in EastEnders spoilers

The Joel storyline took its darkest turn yet last week after the misogynistic teen launched a violent assault on Vicki.

The shock scenes occurred after Joel and Tommy instigated an incident at Walford High. The lads’ behaviour sent shockwaves through the Square and sparked conversations between local parents and their children about the topics of online content and gender.

Ross and Vicki attempted to police Joel on the dangers of what he was doing, but once again their words fell on deaf ears. Later, Vicki confronted Joel on her own and he turned on her, subjecting his stepmum to a savage beating.

Joel goes into hiding

When Ross catches up with Joel he apologises for their earlier fight and remains oblivious to what his son has done to Vicki. But events soon take a frightening turn when a seriously injured Vicki stumbles into The Vic looking for help.

Tommy becomes aware of the unfolding situation and sneaks out of the pub to meet Joel. He wants to know what happened with Vicki, but Joel plays down the extent of the attack and manipulates Tommy into letting him hide out in the Slaters garage.

Zoe clocks Tommy’s twitchy behaviour and knows something is up. She tries to get her brother to see sense about Joel’s bad influence, but Tommy refuses to betray his mate.
