Fearing the consequences her husband will face, Julie lies that she was the one driving. But will he buy her story? Nigel prepares to say goodbye to his precious motor (Credit: BBC) Nigel is ready to say goodbye in EastEnders spoilers Nigel recently surprised Julie with a holiday to her dream destination of India. But in order to afford the trip Nigel has decided to sell his beloved green motor. He’s not able to drive anymore because of his dementia, so it makes sense to let the car go. As the week begins, Nigel prepares his car for sale but accidentally damages it in the process. This means Lauren is forced to reduce the asking price, but Nigel is desperate for cash and finalises a deal. Nigel tells Yolande he wants to take his car for one last spin before he says goodbye. Even though he knows he’s not meant to, Nigel can’t resist swiping the keys when he sees them lying nearby. Nigel makes a stupid mistake (Credit: BBC) Later, Nigel and Julie exchange cross words and he sneaks off for a secret drive. He gets in the car and starts driving, but then a call comes through on his mobile from Julie and Nigel quickly becomes flustered. Distracted, he takes his eyes off the road for a second and ends up crashing the vehicle. Julie realises what Nigel has done (Credit: BBC) Julie tells a foolish lie In the aftermath Nigel reels over the terrible consequences his actions have caused. As the day goes on the events of the car accident keep playing on his mind. Julie can see what a distressed state Nigel in, so to ease his mind she makes out that she was the one driving the car. She’s able to drag Nigel home to Number 55, where she continues to protest she was the one behind the wheel. Despite Julie’s best efforts, Nigel now knows she’s lying.
