The couple discover their boys have disappeared after Lauren is forced to ‘fess up about her kiss with Zack. Can she and Peter work together to find them? Jay hopes Peter and Lauren can put their troubles behind them (Credit: BBC) Peter and Lauren are back together in EastEnders spoilers Lauren and Peter’s worlds have been turned upside down by the discovery that their baby boy Jimmy is blind. The heartbreaking diagnosis left the couple at odds, as Peter blamed Lauren’s past drug use for their son’s condition. After finding out Peter was perusing custody of the kids, Lauren sought comfort in the arms of old flame Zack. The pair shared a kiss, but both agreed it would just stay between them. Now Lauren and Peter have decided to give things another go, but their family unit is about to be rocked once more. As the week begins, Peter is having a hard time settling Jimmy until Jay starts playing the guitar. The soothing music settles the tot, and Peter is impressed. He asks Jay if he can give him a lesson, and when Lauren arrives back at Number 25 she finds Peter with guitar in hand. Afterwards, Jay urges Peter to put the pain of the past behind him and move forward with Lauren and the children. But will he take his advice on board? But trouble is looming when Cindy spies Lauren sharing an innocent hug with Zack. Jumping to conclusions, spiteful Cind manages to convince Ian that Lauren is having an affair and vows to confront her. Back at the picnic, Lauren and Peter open up to Louie about Jimmy’s blindness. He is understanding, and the moment brings them all closer together. That is until Cindy marches over with Ian and starts shouting the odds about Lauren and Zack. Soon the couple head to the hospital to collect the results of Jimmy’s gene tests. There, Lauren and Peter are told their son’s blindness has been caused by a genetic mutation that cannot be inherited or caused by opioid use. Instead of feeling immense relief, the news causes another almighty row, and Lauren ends up storming off. Back in Walford, Peter confronts Zack and lands a punch on him before he and Lauren return home for round two. Later they go to collect Louie and Jimmy, and discover they’ve vanished without a trace.
