1. Nigel takes a look around a care home

Despite Phil’s initial resistance to Nigel going into a care home, the build up to Christmas made him realise that his friend needs more help than he and Julie can offer.

In Monday’s visit to the square, Phil and Julie take Nigel to visit a care home. They’re shown around, and swiftly told they need to decide quickly if Nigel wants a place there.

It soon becomes clear that the place isn’t for him when he grows distressed. Instead of taking the nurse up on the offer of a place, they decide to keep looking for the right fit.

According to her sign and leaflets, Elaine’s breakfast is ‘Better than Kathy’s cafe, guaranteed.’

4. Max is on a mission in Eastenders spoilers

Finally tonight, Max is determined to prove he intends to stick to the promises he’s made to his family.

With all of the drama he’s already caused since his return in December, especially with the Carters and the Beales, perhaps it’s of no surprise that he needs to prove himself. Drama does seem to follow him, after all!
