Nigel decides to surprise Julie with a trip for two to India in EastEnders Mon, October 13, and Oscar suggests selling his car to fund it. The lad seems keen to help make Nigel’s travel dream a reality, but wherever Oscar goes trouble inevitably follows. Will he lead Nigel astray?

EastEnders spoilers: Nigel puts his foot in it

After a tumultuous few weeks, Nigel, Julie and their chickens seem to finally be settling into Phil’s house. Julie has landed herself a teaching job at Walford High and is trying to juggle that with caring for her dementia-stricken husband.

Next week, Julie offers to give Lily some extra tutoring. But things don’t go to plan when Nigel interrupts the lesson and unintentionally upsets his wife.

Afterwards, Julie is left in a tearful state and when Jean hears what’s happened she decides to go and check on her. Jean is also grieving following Stacey’s departure to Brazil, so the ladies comfort one another during an emotional heart-to-heart.

Is this is the start of a lovely new friendship?

Oscar is out to impress in EastEnders spoilers

Later at the cafe, Nigel decides to lift Julie’s spirits by surprising her with a trip to India. But there’s one problem. He can’t really afford it.

Oscar is excited by the idea and suggests Nigel sells his car to help pay for the flights. But will Nigel be able to part with his vintage motor?

Meanwhile, smitten Oscar is still set on winning mysterious newcomer Jasmine‘s heart. But what plan does the cheeky charmer have next up his sleeve?

Oscar gets his girl in EastEnders spoilers

After managing to secure a buyer for Nigel’s car, Oscar suggests they take it for one final spin around the Square. But Julie doesn’t approve – she reprimands them both and firmly reminds Nigel his illness prevents him from driving.

Afterwards, Julie meets Jean for a drink at The Queen Vic, and the day ends on a high when Nigel announces he’s whisking her off to India.

Things are looking up for Oscar too when Jasmine accepts his invitation of a date. Has he finally got his girl?
