Mike approaches Oscar on the stall and issues a demand for £5,000 in return for the Branning family’s safety. Knowing that Mike means what he says, Oscar has to figure a way to come up with the cash – and fast! His first idea is to lure Ian Beale into a business deal. But after their recent dealings, Ian isn’t feeling charitable. Although when is he ever? Oscar is left with no other option but to tell Lauren what’s going on. Will she call on Uncle Jack to help or come up with a plan of her own? Everyone is out at the pub, apart from Patrick, who catches the thief red-handed. Oscar pushes Patrick, which causes him to fall on the ground and hit his head. Back at the hospital, Yolande, Kim and Denise wait for news while the police arrive to take a statement from Howie.
