Patrick turns to gambling in next week EastEnders spoilers to try and give Yolande her dream wedding. But when his wife-to-be discovers what he’s up to, she warns Patrick there won’t even be a wedding if he places any more bets.

Wedding bells are on the horizon in EastEnders spoilers

Yolande and Patrick have endured the most difficult of years after her assault at the hands of evil Pastor Clayton. But the couple are finally putting the pain of the past behind them and looking to the future.

Patrick wants to be make an honest woman out of Yolande (again!) and plans are in motion for their big day. But weddings are expensive, and Patrick has discovered he hasn’t got the money to pay for everything.

Having always enjoyed a flutter, Patrick has decided gambling is the only way he can afford a wedding. But he’s taking a huge risk, and it’s not long before Yolande realises what’s going on.

Patrick deceives Yolande

Yolande is concerned about the idea of Patrick using gambling to pay for their nuptials. She orders him to stop placing bets and not worry about having a lavish wedding, but Patrick is already hooked. He decides to carry on in secret, putting his relationship with Yolande at risk.

Patrick’s perseverance pays off – literally – when he wins big on the horses. Howie hears about his victory, but Patrick makes him promise not to breathe a word about any of it to Yolande.

But will she find out anyway?

Yolande issues Patrick with an ultimatum in EastEnders spoilers

Patrick might be suddenly flush, but Howie certainly isn’t. The local postie is embarrassed to learn that Denzel has been asking Kim for money, knowing that he can’t afford it.

Howie decides it’s time he looked for extra work and applies for the bouncer’s job at Harry’s Barn. But will Nicola agree to hire him?

Meanwhile, Yolande is livid to learn Patrick has gone against her wishes by gambling again. At the end of the tether, she threatens to cancel the wedding if he so much as steps inside the bookies.

Patrick is disappointed, but Howie has a solution to the problem. What if he places a bet for Patrick instead?

Will Patrick take Howie up on his offer and risk losing Yolande for good?
