EastEnders spoilers for next week: Phil hides a huge secret as Julie and Nigel renew their wedding vows

It’s time for Julie and Nigel Bates’ vow renewal in EastEnders spoilers for next week… but Phil Mitchell is hiding a huge secret. In the doghouse after Julie learned of his Portugal plans, Phil isn’t welcome at the ceremony, and so doesn’t tell her that Nigel’s been offered a place at a care home.

Meanwhile, after noticing bruises on Julie’s arms, Linda worries for her well-being. And, as the vow renewal ceremony looms, the situation comes to a head when Phil arrives at the event.

Will Julie send him packing again? And will Phil reveal what he knows.

Linda worries for Nigel and Julie’s well-being in EastEnders spoilers

As the week begins, Nigel struggles to settle in at Peacock Palace, where Linda asks Phil to support Julie. However, she’s completely unaware that he’s the reason they’re not speaking.

Later, When Linda overhears Julie cancelling her plans, she offers to look after Nigel for a while. But, when Julie is about to go, stressed-out Nigel accidentally hurts her. Linda is shocked to see Julie covered in bruises all over her arms.

Linda asks Phil to intervene, but is stunned when Julie tells her how Phil was going to take Nigel away to Portugal.

Phil hides a secret

Determined to support Julie, Linda offers to organise their vow renewal. Julie happily accepts, on the understanding that Phil won’t be invited.

Meanwhile, Phil takes a call from the care home, who tell him that they have a place for Nigel. However, Phil decides to withhold this information from Julie.

The next day, as Julie and Nigel prepare to renew their vows, Phil keeps quiet about the care home news… knowing full well that they have 24 hours to accept their offer.

Presuming that Phil is his best man, Nigel wanders over to see Phil. Phil grows angry, but agrees to take Nigel to the vow renewal before leaving.

Will Phil make a scene? And will he come clean with the care home news?
