He and Julie are still in disagreement over how to best care for dementia-stricken Nigel. But as tensions reach breaking point, Phil drops a devastating bombshell that could change everything. Despite its enormous challenges, looking after his old mate gave Phil a new sense of purpose. But then Jay tracked down Nigel’s wife Julie and told her where her husband was. She arrived in Walford and vowed to take Nigel back to their home in Scotland. Phil was devastated thinking he’d never see his friend again, but it wasn’t long before Nigel was on his way back to London. He was discovered in a confused state at Walford East and expressed his desire to stay in E20. After another few quarrels with Julie, Phil suggested they could all stay at his. Plans were then arranged for the couple to relocate their life in Scotland down south. But will Phil live to regret his kind gesture? Julie’s chickens become new houseguests at Number 55 (Credit: BBC) Phil and Julie clash – again! The week begins with Nigel, Julie and their three pet chickens arriving in Walford. Phil welcomes them into Number 55, but it’s not long before he’s struggling with the new, and rather noisy, dynamic in his home. He’s also annoyed to discover Julie is making changes to Nigel’s routine, something which he knows will cause him great distress. Unable to just be quiet, Phil makes his feelings known on the matter. After a sleepless night of listening to Julie’s chickens, grumpy Phil is in no mood for pleasantries at the breakfast table. He and Julie then accompany Nigel for a medical assessment, where he becomes agitated by their constant sniping. The quarrelling continues as Julie and Phil disagree over how to approach Nigel’s care. And as Phil reaches the end of his tether, he reveals a shocking truth.
