But worse is to come as the troubled teen unleashes a brutal attack on the Slater family. Unhinged Joel is becoming a dangerous influence on Tommy (Credit: BBC) Joel is out of control in EastEnders spoilers Joel has unleashed havoc in Albert Square since his arrival earlier this year. Viewers will remember the lad’s family were forced to flee their home in Australia after Joel upskirted a girl in his class and Ross coughed up $50,000 in hush money. Joel clearly hasn’t learnt from any of his mistakes either. He’s already manipulated Avani into bed – and got her pregnant – and has introduced impressionable Tommy to videos from dangerous misogynistic influencers. Ross is rightly very worried about his son and is keen to get Joel back on the straight and narrow. This week, following advice from Vicki, Ross decides to take Joel and Tommy to work with him at the timber yard. But he soon fears it was a bad idea after overhears the derogatory language used by the other workers on the site. Returning home, Ross then recieves a call from his ex and Joel’s mum, who reveals she’s getting re-married. Does this mean Joel’s mumma isn’t actually Zoe Slater after all? The boys are soon caught up in mischief as Joel eggs Tommy on to steal booze from the barrel store. Ross, Vicki, Kat and Alfie discover what they’ve done and are furious. But as they lay into the lads over their antics, Joel suddenly lashes out at Kat. As he spews vile insults in the landlady’s direction, everyone is left reeling in shock. Ross attempts to get through to Joel (Credit: BBC) Appalled by his son’s dreadful behaviour, Ross sits Joel down and tries his best to get through to him. Father and son start to bond as Joel shares a video from his idol influencer that Ross assumes is innocent. But the dark truth is revealed when Ross takes a look at Joel’s laptop and is sickened by what he finds. In a state of anger and despair, Ross destroys the device. Meanwhile, Vicki discovers why Ross broke Joel’s laptop and insists it’s time he got tough before the lad’s behaviour gets out of hand. We think it’s already there to be honest! But the air turns ugly again when Joel overhears Vicki and Stacey discussing parenting and men. Unable to contain his rage, Joel explodes and shows his true colours.
