It was immediately clear Zoe was in a dark place. She was running away from her past and had fallen in with the wrong crowd. As well as harbouring huge secrets, Zoe was also adamant she didn’t want anything to do with her mum. The reasons behind this are still unclear. Viewers will remember Kat and Zoe parted on friendly terms 20 years ago, but subsequent events caused their relationship to collapse.
