EastEnders spoilers for next week: Max ostracised by his family after he lets Lauren and Oscar down again

Max Branning is left out in the cold in EastEnders spoilers for next week, after disappointing Lauren and Oscar on the anniversary of Abi’s death. Guilty Max has been firing on all cylinders since the events of New Year’s Eve, and is determined to prove he can be a good father to his children.

Max being Max, however, he soon gets waylaid by a woman – in this case, newcomer Bea. This, in turn, upsets Lauren when he fails to turn up on time. And, as he tries to make it up to her, she insists that he’s no longer welcome at the event.

Max is distracted by Bea in EastEnders spoilers

As the week begins, Max is bemused when new Peacock Palace resident Bea takes a shine to him. He offers to help out when Linda is unable to make her day out with Bea, and volunteers to take her out instead.

He’s surprised when Bea assumes that this is a date, but goes along with it for Linda’s sake. Meanwhile, he gladly accepts when Oscar invites him to help plan a memorial for Abi.

But when his ‘date’ with Bea goes awry, Max turns up late to the memorial planning, putting Oscar and Lauren’s noses out of joint. Can he make things right with Lauren and Oscar? Or has Max gone too far this time?

Meanwhile, Bea shares her frustrations with Honey, telling her that she thinks Linda orchestrated the fake date to humiliate her.

Max tries to make amends

The next day, the Brannings and the Beales prepare for Abi’s memorial. Max arrives for the event, but Lauren tells him that he’s not welcome.

Later, Max gives her and Oscar a speech which he had written, and asks them to read it on his behalf. Will Lauren and Oscar forgive Max for his latest blunder?
