In Classic Emmerdale spoilers for episodes airing on ITV3 today (Thursday, January 30), Cain’s banged up after he tells the police he killed Alice, Louise is in trouble, and Ashley’s got a lot to apologise for.

These episodes originally aired on August 11 and 13 2006.

Cain confesses in Classic Emmerdale

The Dingles are all questioned by the police about Alice’s death. Sam and Lisa stay quiet but Marlon lets something slip about Cain’s involvement.

Next up is Cain, who admits that he killed Alice – even though he didn’t.

Later, Cain’s stunned when Zak announces he has the money to pay his £10,000 bail.

Ashley’s apologising

Elsewhere, Ashley apologises to Sandy for his behaviour the previous day. Sandy tells him that while his shoulder can be mended, he can’t fix the fact that Ashley considers him to be a murderer.

Louise and Martin

Louise says too much in Classic Emmerdale!

At the pub, Kayleigh is proud of her dad for tracking down Alice’s killer and wastes no time in sharing her thoughts, leaving Diane uncomfortable.

When Louise tries to defend Martin and Kayleigh, Diane snaps that she seems to be forgetting what happened with Ray. And unluckily for Louise, a policeman overhears and demands to know what she’s talking about. Oops!

Ashley’s dumped!

Ashley is faced with the Dingles’ scorn and he’s disappointed when Sam says he’s found another vicar to officiate Alice’s second funeral. He tries to change Sam’s mind, but the newly widowed Dingle won’t budge – and who can blame him?!
