Emmerdale FINALLY gives us a Graham and Jodie explanation and it very much disappoints

What WAS that?

Graham Foster finally shared what his connection was to Coronation Street’s Jodie in tonight’s Emmerdale – but we’ve been left asking: “Is that it?”

After months of wanting answers, we got them in Sunday night’s extra episode (April 5). But we are really hoping there is more to it and that will be revealed soon, because otherwise it seems a hugely wasted opportunity.

Graham and Jodie

When Graham appeared alive and well in Corriedale on Monday January 5 he had an unknown woman tied up in his van.

During the crash, his van got caught up in the aftermath. After witnessing Joe Tate get hurt in the crash, Graham was distracted and the woman he had tied up escaped.

He was next seen at the hospital making a phone call, explaining to someone that he had something else he needs to do, and that the woman got away. He then terminated the contract.

We now know that woman was Jodie, the sister of Coronation Street’s Shona Platt. But we have absolutely no idea how she and Graham are connected.

We again got a glimpse of Jodie when Graham came back to help Rhona. After he had beaten up Ray, Rhona called Graham off so we saw him get back in his van and tell Jodie they were getting on their way. That led us to the Corriedale crash.

Graham explained Jodie connection in Emmerdale tonight

Sunday night’s Emmerdale saw Rhona find Graham bloodied and bruised at the stables at Home Farm. He had been stabbed and Rhona got him into the house and wanted to call the police.

Graham stopped her and insisted he would stitch himself up. He then explained that when he came back to Emmerdale he was working for a gang to get rid of “a problem” for them.

“That problem was called Jodie,” he revealed. He never finished the job and called off the contract. This is his “punishment” for letting her escape. The gang have now tracked him down after he “made noise” trying to find Dylan.

Rhona, feeling guilty, patched Graham up herself. They then almost kissed and it was witnessed by Marlon, who was shattered.

But he didn’t confront his wife, instead he avoided spending any time with her, unsure what to do next.

Is that it?

So we now have more information about Graham and Jodie, but it’s left us wondering if that’s all that’s coming. It was a perfect opportunity for us to get an explanation and all we found out was what we already knew.

Emmerdale had better not think that was good enough!

There is more to this story and we want answers.
