Viewers were horrified when Dr Todd got away with sexually assaulting Charity Dingle and drove off for a new life in Sheffield. But is that really the last we’ve seen or her? Or is her comeuppance about to happen? Mackenzie knows the truth, but what will he do about it? After months of lying over who baby Leyla’s real parents were and then being blackmailed over it by Dr Todd, which then resulted in a devastating sexual assault, Charity couldn’t cope any more. She fled the village and ended up by a lake all night. As the family tried to find her, Charity was approached by a stranger – who we now know to be Serena Sugden – who offered her a listening ear. After a rocky start in which Charity lashed out and hit her, Serena then did get her to open up. She was last seen telling Mackenzie she had a lot of things to tell him. But what remains to be seen is how he will react to all the secrets, lies and cheating she’s about to reveal. Charity has reported Dr Todd, but will she get justice? (Credit: ITV) Charity goes to the police about Dr Todd in Emmerdale Next week spoilers have told us Charity does decide to fight for justice against Dr Todd. She will go to the police and tell them about the blackmail. DS Reid takes her statement on the serious blackmail allegation. However, it’s bad news for Charity when she is told it will be treated separately to the assault charge. Charity feels like she has revealed the truth for nothing and has failed to protect Sarah in all this. Regretting going to the police, Charity tries to put on a brave face and attend Leyla’s christening. Mack warns her this is not a good idea and is concerned. But is he right to be worried? Although it still looks like Dr Todd has got away with it all, Lawrence Robb’s picture on Facebook might tell a different story. Posting an image of him and Emma Atkins smiling for the camera, Lawrence wrote: “Tb to a court room date with on-screen wifey! Fans immediately seized on the picture, sure there could be only one reason they were both at court for filming. “Dr Todd finally gets her comeuppance!” cried one, certain that’s what the photo meant. “Got to be to do with Dr Todd,” another agreed.” A third added: “Looks like Mack and Charity are going to court after all. Dr Todd finally getting her comeuppance.” Although it was pointed out that Lawrence had labelled the picture “Tb” which stands for “throwback”, meaning this might have been from an old scene. However, one countered: “Emmerdale film about six weeks in advance, so it might be a throwback for him, but not aired for us yet!” Are we about to finally get the justice Charity deserves?
