Emmerdale’s latest villain made her debut tonight when actress Pippa Fulton appeared as Lewis Barton’s kidnapper, Kylie.

Soap fans will definitely recognise Pippa, most recently from a memorable roll on the cobbles of Coronation Street. However, she’s also been in Emmerdale before and has a talent show past too.

Let’s refresh our memories…

Who is Kylie, Lewis’ kidnapper, in Emmerdale and who plays her?

On Friday (June 19) Lewis Barton was bundled into a van outside his house by masked men. Tonight (Monday, June 22) Ross finds out his brother has been kidnapped and Kylie is the one holding him captive.

It turns out Kylie knows Kev and Kev has stolen something very precious from her – a diamond named Penny. She wants Penny back or Lewis’ life will be in danger.

Kylie makes it very clear she means business with a table full of scalpels and talk of her eight years in Holloway prison. Lewis is absolutely terrified and Ross is forced to track Kev down to get him to save his son.

Kev isn’t keen to give up Penny and pretends he’s already sold it to a pawn shop. But Ross and Liam demand he track it down and buy it back as Lewis’ life is on the line.

Kev, who always had Penny, finally gives in and agrees to the trade. But Ross doesn’t trust him so knocks him out as an insurance policy. Will they get Lewis back safely?

Pippa Fulton in Emmerdale and Coronation Street

Prior to playing Kylie, Pippa appeared in three episodes of Emmerdale in March 2014. She played a customer at Dingle & Dingle Automotives who flirted with Ross Barton. He later bedded her too!

In 2017, Pippa again appeared in the soap as a client at Take A Vow.

Her most recent soap appearance, however, was in Coronation Street in 2024. Steve McDonald was on a date with a woman he’d met online called Carole. Carole brought her friend along for support – Aurora – who was played by Pippa.

Fans will remember Aurora was very full on and took a shine to Tim Metcalfe. She wouldn’t take no for an answer when she insisted Tim join them and when Sally caught the woman flirting with Tim, she was not impressed.

What else has the Kylie actress been in?

Before her journey into Soapland, Pippa was also known for her musical talent. She was a contestant in Fame Academy, the BBC singing contest, in 2002 and was eliminated fourth.

Pippa has also been in Channel 4 comedy Hullraisers and runs her own vocal coaching business, PF Studios.

The actress and singer also has a glittering stage career. In 2013 she appeared in WAG The Musical at the Charing Cross Theatre alongside real-life WAG Lizzy Cundy.

In fact, Pippa is a real-life WAG herself. She is married to professional footballer and manager Clayton Donaldson. He is currently Head of Development at York City. The couple wed in 2014 and have a son called Hendrix who was born in 2015.
