The truth is about to come out
Rebecca Sayers

In Emmerdale tonight, Bear shockingly lied to the police to protect Paddy and Dylan by telling them he killed Ray out of vengeance, and acted completely alone.

The storyline has dragged on for quite some time, with many Emmerdale viewers expressing they were growing bored of it. But it looks like it’s about to take a whole new turn, as Bear’s lie to the police will urge Paddy and Dylan into admitting their involvement.

So, while the truth may be about to come to light, it seems there will be a whole new journey for Paddy, Dylan and Bear. As all of them are about to face the consequences of their actions.

Bear tried to protect Paddy and Dylan in Emmerdale

DS Walsh amped up the pressure when Bear was brought back into the station, determined to prove that he didn’t act alone. However, Bear tried his hardest to keep up the lie that he was the only one in the house. But it was clear that DS Walsh knew that everything he was saying was a lie.

That’s when she brought out the rope, and began asking very specific questions about how he murdered Ray. She told him that from further tests, the threshold for self defence had been passed.

Bear explained his history as a wrestler, and it was very obvious DS Walsh was using that to make him look extremely guilty. Then she explained that the rope was tied in a knot that is specific to boy scouts. And when she got Bear to recreate the knot, he couldn’t do so.

As the pressure started to get to him, Bear told Walsh that he did intentionally kill Ray, but was alone when he done so. And he went one step further, admitting that he would do it all again.

Later, when Paddy and Dylan were informed about the news, they were left horrified. But Bear’s lie is about to cause both of them to confess.

But both of them are set to confess the truth

Not able to cope with Bear taking all of the blame and lying for them, Emmerdale spoilers for later this week confirm Paddy and Dylan head to the station.

Mandy is heartbroken to know they are both planning on handing themselves in. However, she wants to support them and drops them to the station.

Things finally come to a head when both are charged with perverting the court of justice. And the family are distraught to hear that bail is uncertain.

They need a witness. Someone to confirm Ray was intending to kill Dylan. And the family turn to Laurel as she was the last one to see Ray alive.

But will she help them? And will Bear, Paddy and Dylan get away with murder? Or is their time in Emmerdale up?

What else happened in Emmerdale tonight?

Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight, Jacob continued to feel the pressure from Dr Todd, and he clashed with Sarah yet again.

Read on for our full recap of Emmerdale tonight.

1. Jacob and Sarah clashed

With Dr Todd still giving Jacob a hard time about his work, he needed to restart his entire project from the very beginning again.

Both Sarah and Eric were worried about him as he was up the night before until 4am. However, it's clear he wasn't going to change his ways as he needs to impress Dr Todd.

But can he and Sarah get through this? Or is there more trouble ahead for the couple?

2. Eric grew suspicious

Elsewhere, Archie told Kyle that he thought Kerry and Jai were sleeping together, and then the word got back to Eric.

Eric told them they were wrong about it, as he is married to Kerry. But Archie started saying mean things about her, much to Eric's annoyance.

And when the boys walked away, it was clear Eric had his own doubts about the truth. Will he discover Kerry and Jai actually are having a relationship?

3. Joe made a discovery

Finally, Graham continued to try to get Joe against Kim, annoyed at their friendship. While initially, Joe told Graham to stop being jealous and accept things the way they are now, Graham clearly couldn't do so.

Instead, he broke into Kim's safe and found her will. And he wasted no time in showing Joe that Home Farm estate will be left to Lydia.

Joe clearly immediately began plotting to get his hands on the house. And when he thanked Graham for having his back, it was obvious a switching of teams was happening.

So, are we about to see Graham and Joe team up against Kim? And just what will Joe be planning?
