But has he gone for good? Fans have long been speculating that Dylan is leaving the soap and there are now fears this is his exit. So what do we know about his future in the Dales? Dylan was feeling low about his court case (Credit: ITV) Dylan confessed in a letter and left Emmerdale Paddy and Dylan were both let out on bail after admitting the truth about their part in Ray’s murder cover-up. They returned home to discover Arthur Thomas was at the police station lying about seeing Ray on the day of his death in order to help their case. Paddy went mad and drove to the station to stop Arthur. Fortunately Arthur hadn’t worked up the nerve to go through with it, so no harm was done. But Paddy was furious with Mandy for setting it up. He laid into her as she begged for forgiveness. Then we saw him posting something and calling April. He told her: “I posted a letter to the police saying it was me that killed Ray, and Paddy and Bear had nothing to do with it.” April was stunned as he explained he was leaving and going to disappear.Don't miss a single story! Emmerdale is remaining tight-lipped on whether this is the last we have seen of Dylan or whether his letter will have the desired affect and get Bear and Paddy off the hook. However actor Fred Kettle, who plays Dylan, has recently posted pictures to his social media from the Emmerdale set. It suggests to us he is still filming, which means we will hopefully see Dylan again. But after the letter, does that mean the next time we’ll see him he is behind bars?
