Here’s a recap of Emmerdale last night, Tuesday, April 1.

April tricked Marlon in Emmerdale last night
Marlon Dingle and April continued to be at loggerheads. Out of revenge, April decided to play a cruel trick on her dad.
While the veterinary surgery was quiet, April stole a vial of ketamine from the cabinet. She then had another run-in with her father and accused him of constantly trying to control her .
After chatting to Rhona, Marlon headed back to the house to try make amends with April. However, he was shocked to find April on the floor with the empty ketamine bottle next to her.
As Marlon screamed for help, Vanessa and Rhona came running in. Rhona was just about to call for an ambulance, when April opened her eyes and stood up.
As she cruelly told Marlon that this was ‘karma,’ Rhona was disgusted that she would fake an overdose like that. April responded that that is what could have happened to Dylan due to Marlon’s actions.
Rhona was furious at April and Marlon’s constant fighting, and ordered them to sort things out. She told Marlon that he had to take a step back and realise that April wasn’t a little girl any more.
Marlon agreed to Rhona’s request. But it seems he didn’t mean it as he later planted a tracking device in April’s coat. Will he ever learn?

Nicola was desperate to get on the cruise
Since it was revealed that Brenda had won a three month cruise in a magazine competition, Nicola decided that it was her right to get on the cruise.
Originally, Brenda said she wasn’t going, so Nicola plotted for her and Jimmy to take up the tickets instead. But last night, the smile was wiped off her face when Brenda announced she was going on the cruise on her own.
Not one to be defeated, Nicola told Brenda that a three month cruise on her own would be quite daunting and hinted that she should take a friend to support her.
Jimmy later told Nicola that he was coming round to the idea of a cruise, so Nicola had to break it to him that she was now hopefully going without him.
“You cruise? I lose?,” he retorted.

Ella was bugging Liam
As Chas and Liam spoke to Belle about wedding plans, Liam’s phone was constantly buzzing.
Chas was annoyed as he shared it was Ella, with Chas eager for Ella to leave them alone. Liam said the best thing to do was ignore the messages and Ella would soon get bored.
However, in the pub later, as Liam chatted with John, Ella continued to send messages. John suggested that Liam should simply turn his phone off for a while. Will Ella leave Liam alone?
