Who is starting the fires at Emmerdale Farm? Kammy, Ross, Sam and Kev all under suspicion

Robert and Aaron are on the hunt for the arsonist

Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle declared ‘no more trouble’ in Emmerdale tonight, which is pretty wishful thinking given at that moment someone was starting a fire at the farm – but who was it?

The fingers of suspicion are pointing everywhere next week with Joe Tate, Kammy Hadiq, Sam Dingle, Ross Barton and even Kev Townsend all in the frame.

But are Aaron and Robert any closer to finding out whodunnit?

Robert survived Cain’s revenge in Emmerdale tonight, but more trouble is ahead

After Cain found out what Robert had done to Moira he went after him for revenge. Despite only being days out of major surgery, Cain roped Sam in who knocked Robert unconscious and tied him to a chair.

Robert came round to see Cain looming over him with a hammer. Robert begged him not to do anything, pretending Joe Tate had him over a tax dodge and that’s why he did it. Sam urged Cain to stop and Cain told him to get on board or leave. Sam left.

Robert then confessed why he really set Moira up in a bid to get Cain to stop. But Cain lashed out angrily, kicking his chair over. In doing so, however, Cain injured himself.

Robert quickly rushed him to hospital where Moira and Aaron met them. Aaron then went and sat with Cain and explained everything telling him he could never punish Robert as much as he was punishing himself.

Eventually Cain agreed to draw a line under it, accepting Robert was trying to protect Victoria and Joe Tate is the true villain her. But as he warned Aaron to keep Robert in line, it’s clear he hasn’t fully forgiven even if he is prepared to forget.

As the boys left the hospital room, Aaron told Robert: “It’s time for a fresh start. We don’t need any more trouble.”

Famous last words!

At that very moment a mystery hooded figure was throwing petrol all over some hay bales at the farm and setting them alight.

But who is it?

Who is starting the Emmerdale Farm fires?

Next week Aaron and Robert are determined to find out who is behind the blazes. As they put out yet another fire this time closer to the feed store, they speculate on who on earth is targeting them. So who are the prime suspects?

1. Joe Tate

When there was a fire on the farm last month it seemed pretty clear Joe Tate was behind it. He arrived at the house right after the blaze started and it felt like a warning to Robert to keep his mouth shut about the blackmail.

Next week Aaron makes it clear he is sure Joe is behind it all. But is he?

2. Are Ross Barton and Sam Dingle starting the fires at Emmerdale Farm?

Ross and Sam are acting very shifty next week. Feeling inadequate when Lydia is mad at him for missing her dance class, Sam goes to Ross for a secret word.

They meet in a barn on Emmerdale Farm and analyse the space together. They soon decide it’s exactly what they need. But for what?

Ross tells Sam they will need a cover story and then gives him a lighter asking him to ‘do the honours’. But Aaron and Robert are approaching the barn so Sam is forced to make a run for it before they see him.

Ross insists he’s there to try and find the arsonist and suggests they pay him. Robert considers it and soon is offering him triple. However Aaron is starting to suspect Ross actually is the firestarter.

Aaron and Robert later follow Ross and Sam, but what will they find? Are they the Emmerdale Farm arsonists?

3. Kammy

Aaron grows suspicious of Kammy next week. He turns up late for work, looking tired and with his shirt on inside out. Aaron tells him he needs to buck up and pull his weight.

With another fire started later in the week, Aaron draws attention to how much they know about Kammy.

As Aaron and Robert vow to find out who’s starting the Emmerdale Farm fires, Kammy is listening in and looking worried. Is he behind this?

4. Is Kev starting the fires at Emmerdale Farm

Fans were left thrilled when it was announced Kev Townsend would be returning to the soap. And given he has a history starting fires after he lit the trees at Aaron and Robert’s old flat ablaze at Christmas, suspicion soon falls on him.

Ross speculates Kev could be behind it all. But is he really back to cause trouble between Robron? Or has he moved on?
