Fans do double take as they fear for Mack’s safety after John hospital visit
Charity would have something to say about this…
Last night in Emmerdale (Wednesday, April 9), John visited a mystery person at the hospital – and fans thought it was Mack!
The guy in the hospital bed looked like he was in a coma, with John contemplating what they were going to do next.
But, just who is the mystery man? It’s not Mack, but we can see why fans were confused!

John’s mystery hospital visit
John’s a guy with many secrets but we’re yet to know what they are. All we know is that we can’t trust him… He loves to play the ‘hero’ and isn’t happy when things don’t go to plan.
Last year, John admitted to Aaron that he had an old mate in the army called Aidan Moore who he’d been unable to save. After this, he quit the army and began living in his camper van.
Viewers haven’t been able to shake off the feeling that John’s got a dark past behind him though, especially after watching him help Aaron cover up Anthony’s body without the blink of an eye.
He’s a suss chap, and last night’s hospital visit to a mystery man lying in a hospital bed just added to these suspicions.
The soap hasn’t yet confirmed who he is… but, for a split second, fans thought it was Mack!

Emmerdale fans fear for Mack as they’re forced to do double take
At first glance, many Emmerdale fans were concerned that Mack had ended up in hospital somehow, noticing a resemblance between him and the man in the hospital bed.
We’re sure if it was Mack, Charity would’ve called a search party by now. But then again…
One fan commented: “That seriously looked like Mack.”
Another fan shared: “I’ve just watched and thought it was Mack too.”
A third person added: “At first when I saw the beard I thought oh my [bleep], is it Nate?? And then I saw Mack… but now I don’t think it is Mack… or is it??”
A fourth person on X finished: “Looked like Mack or Andy, but who knows what the writers have planned with John?”
While the person in the bed wasn’t Mack, Mack might still be in danger. We’re yet to see an explanation for the flash-forrward of him running through the woods yet. So, could Mack be the next person to end up in hospital after all?
