We all know it's only a matter of time before Robron are back on. Unless John kills one of them first! Features John Sugden Robron Share By Kerry Barrett Jun 21 2025 By Kerry Barrett Jun 21 2025 Robron were reunited – again and only sort of but it still counts – in this week’s Emmerdale and we absolutely loved it. Though both Robert and Aaron were behaving pretty badly, lying and sneaking around. But they weren’t the only ones! Emmerdale this week was full of unreasonable behaviour as things started falling apart. Everyone was acting very badly indeed. Obviously, we enjoyed every minute of it. Well, most of it. Plus we reckon, there were also some pretty big clues about the drama that’s coming up in amongst all that angst, too. Here’s what we thought of this week’s action in our Emmerdale review. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Whatever you’re facing – dead husband, killer urgers – you can get help! (Credit: ITV) Words of advice Oh how we chuckled when Manpreet gave John a leaflet to give to Tracy. She said it was from a leaflet from an organisation that could help. “Whatever you’re facing,” the leaflet said. If, for example, you’re facing your estranged husband’s body being dredged up from the bottom of a lake, they can help. Or, as John found out when he kept the leaflet for himself, if you’re facing a man you killed being dredged up from a lake. Perhaps you’re facing your new husband’s ex being released from prison and causing trouble between you. Maybe your own ex is currently in a coma thanks to you, or you’re fighting the urge to be the hero… Anyhoo, it turned out John gave the counsellors a call and told them he had a lot on. People to hurt, then to save, you know how it is. They did help him in the end. Though the help they gave him was to encourage him to do what made him happy. Which doesn’t bode well for the residents of Emmerdale… Cara Robinson is fierce and feisty – so where is she?! (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Nate’s mum In all the drama with Nate’s death being discovered there is a huge gaping hole where his fierce mum Cara Robinson should be. It was weird when Nate had vanished off the face of the earth and no one contacted her. It was weird when she didn’t contact anyone in the village either when Nate wasn’t in touch. And it is especially weird now that she’s not involved in the planning of her beloved son’s funeral. If there’s one thing we remember about Cara it’s that she loathed the Dingles. We’re pretty sure she’d march into the village, and make sure her boy got the send-off he deserved. It’s so strange she’s barely been mentioned. I think we all know who Aaron is really meant to be with (Credit: ITV) Johnron or Robron in Emmerdale? One of the things that got us thinking this week is John and Aaron as a couple. Like John said, they’re supposed to be in the honeymoon phase. But actually, they don’t really seem to like one another very much. When Victoria said they belonged together and “any fool can see that” we had to chuckle. They totally don’t. Robron were reunited in the prison (Credit: ITV) Robron in Emmerdale You know who does belong together though? ROBRON. That prison conversation about Liv and everything that else that’s happened during the last few years felt like it had been a long-time coming. And bless Aaron saying “we’re never going to happen” to Robert. We all know it will. Robert is already suspicious about John (Credit: ITV) Will Robert work everything out? Robert is sort of on to John. He pointed out to Victoria that they barely knew him. Robert revealed he’d said “you have no idea what I’m capable of”. He knows there’s something off. Perhaps he could team up with Mack to bring John down. Though frankly we’re not sure Mack would be much use. Caleb, though, could be a good ally for Robert to have – we’re quite keen on that partnership… Will John kill again? (Credit: ITV/Composite: EI) John’s going to kill again, right? Cain nearly bought it this week – and how weird and unsettling it was to see mighty Cain Dingle in a vulnerable position. Anyway, John changed his mind and Cain lived to fight another day, but it’s clear John can only function when he’s being the hero. Or the villain. Depending on what he’s up to. The villagers need to watch their backs. We want a Vanity reunion (Credit: ITV) Vanity reunited like Robron in Emmerdale? As well as the inevitable rekindling of Robron, we saw glimmers of another former romance this week too. Because HOW much did we love Charity sticking up for Vanessa? That pair always seem to be quietly, firmly supporting one another. Surely it’s only a matter of time before our Vanity love is rewarded? Unreasonable behaviour And so to the bad stuff. Because there was a lot of bad behaviour in this week’s Emmerdale. Tracy’s not coping! (Credit: ITV/Composite: EI) Tracy’s tantrums Let’s start with Tracy who is so squeaky and shrill now only dogs can hear her. We get that she’s upset, but she’s being super unreasonable taking it all out on Vanessa. Of course the police would have checked Ness being Tracy’s alibi (well, we say of course, it’s possible they wouldn’t because they are quite rubbish in Emmerdale). Yeah we’re sad about the cancer but Sarah’s still a brat (Credit: ITV/Composite: EI) Sarah is the brattiest brat Meanwhile, Sarah’s still forging ahead with her ridiculous plan to become a mum. We can’t tell you how relieved we were when Charity found out about the cancer and immediately told Cain and Moira. Secret cancer is always a terrible storyline. Always. Just like babies being swapped at birth and people arriving with a mysterious link to a local. Anyway, we digress. Sarah’s so whiney and entitled we’ve had enough of her. Vinny tried to kiss Kammy and now he’s freaking the freak out (Credit: ITV) Are Vinny and Kammy the new Robron in Emmerdale? Oh save us from Vinny’s guilt and Kammy’s cheeky chappy act. We’re firmly #TeamGabby. Vinny’s not a teenager, he’s a grown up man with a past and lots of baggage and if he thinks he doesn’t want to marry Gabby for whatever reason then he needs to tell her now before things go too far. Bear’s being really weird (Credit: ITV) Bear hugs Poor Bear’s really struggling and Paddy is being hopeless, though so is Bear and really we think they just need to hug it out. Poor chaps. Maybe they could have another meeting of the village men and Liam could entertain them with some stories. Or maybe that would make everything worse. Read more: Who’s leaving Emmerdale?
