Will ‘faked his death’ and pushed Joe out the window, fan theory claims

Will would want Joe to suffer

While Dawn may have told Billy that she pushed Joe out of the window in Emmerdale, some fans think she is covering for someone shocking – Will.

Last week Joe was attacked during Lydia’s birthday party. There were a wide range of people at the party who had reason to attack Joe. But after Billy was taken in for questioning, Dawn panicked and gave him an alibi.

In the process of doing so, it also gave her an alibi. Which it looks like she needed since she told Billy she did it. While a lot of fans suspect she is covering for someone, a new theory hints that it may be someone we all thought died.

What happened to Will?

Will Taylor died of a heart attack on Christmas Day last year, just as Joe Tate arrived back into the village.

Kim was stunned to find out that Will had been plotting to take her down alongside financial advisor Peter. In reality, Joe was working with Peter, and showed up to Home Farm and filled Kim in on what Will had been up to.

Will tried to defend himself, he ended up clutching his chest in pain but Kim ignored him, believing he was faking it. Then Joe entered the room and made her see it was really happening.

At the time fans heavily believed that he wasn’t actually dead, but it did look like he truly was.

However, it seems due to Joe’s attack and Dawn’s confession the theory has resurfaced. And this time it is even more dramatic.

Could Will have attacked Joe in Emmerdale?

One fan wrote on X: “There is no way Dawn pushed Joe! It was her dad. I’m telling you, Will faked his death!”

Another fan penned on social media: “Maybe Dawn is covering for Will…”

If Will has returned then Joe would be very high on his revenge list for turning Kim against him on Christmas.

And on top of that, if Will heard that his daughter was having an affair with Joe, there is no way Will would have let that go.

The other popular theory is that Dawn is covering for one of her kids. But Emmerdale are known to throw in a huge curveball.

So could we be seeing Will back from the dead?
