This came as Tracy and Cain learned that Nate was the body in the lake, sending them both into a spiral. For Cain, he immediately felt regret for the way he’d left things with his son, while omitting to the police that he’d beaten him up shortly before his ‘disappearance.’ No need – Tracy was quick to tell the police what he’d done. And, as Cain answered to beating up Nate down the police station, he soon emerged as their prime suspect. Tracy, meanwhile, soon began to wonder whether maybe Cain could have killed Nate after their confrontation. All the while, the real killer is on the loose… John Sugden, incommunicado on his honeymoon with Aaron. What fresh hell his return will dredge up remains to be seen, but might this spell trouble for Tracy? Could killer John turn on Tracy? With John looking to cover his tracks, might Tracy wind up as collateral damage? Especially as he’ll be keen to clear Cain’s name, now that he’s one of his in-laws through marriage. Keen to protect Cain, he sets a plan into motion… and before long, the police come knocking on Tracy’s door, with a warrant in hand. She claims they’ll find nothing, but is shocked when they discover Nate’s phone in Frankie’s playhouse. And, as she’s taken down the station, she grows increasingly worried when they reveal that there’s no record of the removal man who collected Nate’s things.
